11月に入り秋も深まってきました。
過ごしやすい気温の中、紅葉を見ながらのハイキングは最高ですよね。

今回はそんな秋ならではのハイキングを楽しめる英語表現をご紹介いたします。

◆準備

A : 明日ハイキングに行きますが、何を持っていけばいいでしょうか。
we are going to go hiking tomorrow. What should we bring for tomorrow hiking?

B : そうですね。寒いのでジャケットを持っていきましょう。
Well… Let’s bring our jackets. It might be cold there.

山などは特に急な冷え込みがありますよね。行く前に相手に上着の確認をしてあげる気遣いがあるとよいかもしれません。

◆ハイキング当日

足元に気をつけてください！ここは滑りやすいです。
Please watch your step! It’s slippery here.

A :  見てください！紅葉（もみじ）の木があります。とても綺麗ですね。
Look there! There are Japanese maple trees. These are so beautiful.

B :  そうですね。この山の色のグラデーションが美しいです。今は紅葉を見る絶好の時期ですね。
Yeah, The color gradation of the mountains is beautiful. Now is the best time to see the autumn leaves.

◆すれ違う人への挨拶

A :  こんにちは！調子はどうですか？
Hello! How are you?

B : こんにちは！最高です。丁度山頂に到達して降りてくるところですよ。
Hello! I’m great, thank you! I just arrived at the top of the mountain and now I’m on my way down.

A :  すごいですね！ここまで来るのにどれくらい上ってきたんですか？
Wow, that is amazing. How long have you been out here?

B : もうかれこれ1時間くらいかかりましたかね。頂上まではあと30分くらいですよ。
山頂からの景色、特に赤や黄色の紅葉が綺麗でした。
It took me about 1 hour from the base, and it will take more than half an hour from here.
The view from the top of the mountain was beautiful, especially the beautiful red and yellow foliage.

A :  景色を眺めるのが待ちきれません！
